Death Valley National Park

One of the hottest places on earth and home to the lowest point in North America.

What a fun place to visit! The sunset made for a great contrast on the dunes and surrounding mountains and the kids were able to run, explore and play in the sand. Fall is the perfect time to visit Death Valley and it’s a great overnight trip from Las Vegas!

A few of our favorites

Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes
These dunes are the best known and easiest to visit in the national park. Located in central Death Valley.

Badwater Basin
The lowest point in North America at 282 feet below sea level. The salt flats cover nearly 200 square miles and are composed mostly of sodium chloride.

Zabriskie Point
Known for its erosional landscape. It is composed of sediments from Furnace Creek Lake, which dried up 5 million years ago. Sunsets here are absolutely amazing.

Dante’s View
A visit during a new moon will provide a humbling glimpse of the Milky Way and stars above.

Rainbow of Rocks on Artist’s Drive
Sand dunes which are like striped islands rising from the flatlands.
